Rad Tech Position - California

Location

• Fremont, California (San Francisco area)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Combination of day and evening shifts (first half day shift, second half evening shift)
• Weekend work every other weekend
• Holiday work with flexibility required
• Two techs scheduled at all times; no solo coverage
• No call or standby requirements

Job Duties & Department Info

• Imaging studies include general chest, spine, extremities
• Work involves X-ray and CT coverage; possible coverage in Operating Room (OR)
• Department has 4 rooms plus portable units
• Radiologist on-site during the day until 6 pm; after hours reads are done externally
• No IV starts required
• Use of Epic EMR and PACS systems
• Equipment includes Phillips, GE, Carestream fixed units, Shimadzu portables
• Lead tech available 24/7; no Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with California Fluoroscopy license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in OR imaging
• Flexibility and adaptability to department needs, including shift and weekend coverage

Orientation & Dress Code

• One week of department-specific training following unit tour
• Ceil blue scrubs required; not provided but some available at hospital

This position is suitable for a radiologic technologist with ARRT certification and California fluoroscopy licensure, comfortable working varied shifts including evenings and weekends, and able to cover multiple imaging modalities including X-ray, CT, and OR imaging.
