Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Location: Washington, DC (within 50 miles)
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week, total 36 hours/week)

Job Description

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for postpartum and mother-baby patients (this is not a Labor & Delivery role).
  • Patient population includes vaginal delivery, C-section, and gynecological surgery patients.
  • Deliver nursing care aligned with facility policies, standards, and Patient Centered Care principles.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards consistently.
  • Perform a variety of patient care functions in compliance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license valid in the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Verified Cerner electronic medical record system experience required.
  • Certifications required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • Postpartum/mother-baby nursing experience required.
  • BSN degree highly desired.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must live within 50 miles of the job location.
  • This position requires working three 12-hour day shifts per week.
