Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing.
• Follow departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
• Utilize equipment such as Meditech and Pyxis Supply Stations (Medication and Clean Supplies).
• Work in a 6-bed ICU unit with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 2:1 to 3:1.
• 12-hour shifts.
• Dress code: Scrubs (not provided).
• Complete a standard 3-day department orientation.
• Complete Medication Testing within the first two weeks on site.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years recent ICU experience.
• Active Alaska RN license.
• Active BLS (AHA) certification.
• Active ACLS (AHA) certification.
• Active PALS or ENPC certification required before start (if not currently held, must provide class date).
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Ability and willingness to float to Med Surg unit.
