MRI Technologist - Detroit, MI

Job Type

  • Contract Clinician
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Monday through Sunday availability required, including weekend shifts

Job Description

  • Operate Siemens Viato and other MRI systems (Philips, Siemens, GE knowledge required)
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI studies on various body areas, including advanced studies
  • Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection techniques
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns with tact and courtesy
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers
  • Train new technologists and patient coordinators; provide guidance and quality checks
  • Troubleshoot MRI scanners and peripheral equipment to prevent downtime; escalate complex issues as needed
  • May require local travel as part of the mobile route

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • ARRT (MR) certification required
  • BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Valid state driver’s license as applicable
  • State licensure as required
  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in high-volume environments preferred
  • Proficiency in running advanced MRI studies independently
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer interactions effectively
  • Strong patient care skills with ability to explain complex medical information clearly
