Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel assignment in Stevens Point, Wisconsin
13-week contract
36 guaranteed hours per week
12-hour day shifts
Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Med Surg experience within the last year
2 years of Med Surg experience
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Orthopedics experience
Experience with Epic

Unit Details

32-bed medical/surgical unit
Patient mix includes ortho, general, urology, and ENT
Ratios: days/pm 1:4-5; nights 1:6-7
2nd floor unit with 3 levels of care: ICU, Stepdown, and Med-Surg
Will take Med/Surg patients only if floated

Float / Call

May float to like units
May float to Riverview, Plover, and Divine Savior
May be low censused and put on call
Call back minimum is 2 hours

Additional Notes

Radius rule: contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius
Travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times during flu season
