• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
• Neuro ICU experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Med Surg experience
• Experience with EVDs (external ventricular drains) and ICP (intracranial pressure) monitoring
• Experience with bedside bolt and drain placement procedures
• Experience caring for Neuro interventional patients
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

• 1 prior travel assignment
• Neuro interventional experience

Clinical Setting / Patient Population

• Neuro ICU
• May float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units
• Cares for stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients

Key Responsibilities

• Neuro assessments
• Basic bedside ICU procedures
• Line placement
• Intubation
• Bolt and drain bedside placements with neurosurgery
• Care for neuro interventional patients

Additional Notes

• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring is needed
• EPIC experience required
• Traveler may be low-censused in 4-hour increments as needed
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Must comply with flu/COVID masking policy if vaccination is declined
