Radiation Therapist (Per Diem)

Location: Newport Beach, California
Employment Type: Local Contract (Clinical - Allied)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Travel: Travel required between Newport Beach and Irvine locations

Job Summary

• Deliver high doses of ionizing radiation treatment to patients under the direction of Radiation Oncologists.
• Localize tumors and participate in treatment planning.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental procedures, specialized instrumentation, quality control, and preventive maintenance.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the department and organization.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in California.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in CT simulation techniques.
• Skilled in Radiation Oncology EMR (Mosaiq) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service abilities, including problem analysis and resolution.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Information

• This is not a remote position.
• Initial assignment is for 3 months with possible extension.
• Experience with Elekta Mosaiq is preferred.
