Sonographer Position

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Shift: 4 x 10 hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:00)
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, focusing on comfort and clear communication.
• Perform ultrasound procedures, monitor patients throughout the process, and relieve pre-testing anxiety.
• Set up equipment and ensure timely administration of procedures.
• Review prior reports, images, and patient charts carefully.
• Ensure completeness and quality of studies, proper imaging techniques, and notify readers as needed.
• Maintain records, logs of exams performed, and control inventory and supplies for the assigned area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Experienced Sonographer skilled in performing high-quality Adult Echocardiography studies following ASE & IAC guidelines.
• Dedicated inpatient echocardiography experience with documentation of at least 200 inpatient cases.
• Proficient in valvular assessment, including strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond quickly to critical findings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Stress Echocardiography.
• Familiarity with 3D echocardiography imaging.
• Knowledge of protocols related to TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure devices.
• Experience maintaining ICAEL-accredited echo lab standards.
• Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq ultrasound systems.
• Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.
