Nurse Manager, Emergency Department

Overview

Location: Brooklyn, New York
Shift: Evening, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Schedule: 40 hours per week; exempt position with no overtime
Contract length: 14 weeks

Role Summary

Responsible for 24-hour oversight of emergency department patient care, staffing, workflow, quality improvement, and staff development
Includes weekend and holiday coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Master of Science in Nursing
5 years of nursing management and/or supervisory experience in the Emergency Department
ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
Experience in Manager roles
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC

Additional Notes

EPIC familiarity is required
The role requires strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
