Contract Length: 13 weeks

Perform specialized and complex technical tasks screening clinical specimen slides for evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions.
Mark abnormalities, render diagnoses, and determine cases for quality control or review with pathologist.
Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols.
Evaluate specimen acceptability related to department testing.
Participate in collection, processing, and immediate evaluation of Fine Needle Aspirations.
Apply knowledge of specimen processing techniques to meet department requirements.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR
- Completion of a Cytotechnology Program and Certificate of Completion.
Certifications:
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) - Cytologist (CT)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
