Job Opportunity: PACU RN
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 50% Day/Night rotation with up to 2 weekend shifts per month
Required Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of RN experience
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in an Academic Medical Center setting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year or more of total travel experience
- Current, valid RN license for Massachusetts (primary source verification required; conditional licenses not accepted)
- BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted)
- Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) immunity or vaccination
- TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
- Physician health statement within 1 year of start date
- Criminal background checks and CORI (Massachusetts) within required timeframes
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Medication exam with 80% passing score within 1 year (for RN)
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor-level reference
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience in PACU is required.
- Various professional and personal health documentation must be current and compliant with onboarding requirements.
- No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start.
- Background checks include national sex offender registry and exclusion lists.
This position is ideal for experienced PACU RNs with travel experience seeking a rotating day/night schedule in an academic medical center environment.
