Job Opportunity: RN ICU (Travel)

Job Description

• Work in an Acuity Adaptable Unit (not a pure ICU unit)
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) or as needed, Every Other Holiday (EOH) or as needed
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
• Requires 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Experience

• Specialty: ICU Nursing
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years ICU experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and meet address requirements)

Required Health & Compliance

• MMR: Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required for the flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test: Required annually (preferred prior to start)
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days prior to start
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Required Training & Competencies

• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) with minimum 80% score, updated yearly
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills), updated annually
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (EPIC training and test)
• Ascension EKG Exam with passing score
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding
• Ascension Nova StatStrip training
• Ascension Color Vision test, updated every 3 years
• Ascension NIH Certification, updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen

Professional Requirements

• Resume/Profile submission
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others, updated annually
• Employment Verification for the past 7 years, updated annually
• Education Verification within 90 days prior to start
• Confirmation of Assignment documentation
• Badge Photo (white or blue background, no alterations)

Additional Notes

• Must be able to complete all required documentation and verifications prior to or at the start of assignment
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on unit needs
