Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5 hours)
Hours: 36 hours per week, every other week schedule
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit.
- Must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start.
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the past year.
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature.
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption.
- Proof of MMR, Hepatitis B vaccination series, Varicella immunity, and Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction).
- 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year.
- Influenza vaccine is optional.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
- Background checks including federal, nationwide, county criminal (last 7 years), SSN verification, education verification, and multiple federal exclusion lists (EPLS, OIG, NSO, OFAC) all dated within 30 days of start.
- Signed professional and confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, conflict of interest disclosure, and system access forms required prior to start.
Additional Notes
- All documentation and verifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system before or at onboarding.
- Agency will provide necessary checklists and assist with compliance documentation.
- This position requires working every other week with 36 hours scheduled per week on a 12.5-hour day shift.
