Labor and Delivery RN Travel Contract

Assignment Details

• Travel/contract role
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• ASAP start
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered local
• Priority given to candidates who can stay until 1/9

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit testing within 12 months of start
• Tdap vaccination or declination within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray completed within the past 12 months
• TB questionnaire, updated annually
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documented by 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
• Varicella immunity documented by 2 vaccines, history of chicken pox, or positive titer
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required year-round
• Skills checklist, updated annually

Notes

• ACLS is not required for MedSurg RN, but this role is Labor and Delivery
• PALS may be required depending on unit
• NIH Stroke Certification may be required or preferred for some units
