Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Short-term acute care, Level III trauma center, teaching hospital

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required; no holiday RTO accepted
• Up to 4 days of RTO allowed
• Floating within scope and between like units is required
• Block scheduling is not available
• On-call is not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
• Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Military Training Network

Additional Requirements

• Must be comfortable working with adults and children in ICU
• Must be comfortable working with pediatric and adult patients
• Must review and sign facility job description and required onboarding documents before start
• Background check, education verification, physical exam, TB screening, drug test, and immunization documentation are required before start

Other Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
• Return travelers must be gone for 1 year before returning
• Assignment extensions are limited to 2 contracts total, then a 6-month break is required before returning
