• Scheduling options: 36- or 48-hour weekly options; 13- or 26-week contract options

Unit Details

• Mixed acuity medical-surgical/telemetry and stepdown unit
• Neuro/neurosurgery-focused patient population
• Travelers are first to float and may float frequently within scope to meet facility needs
• RNs may care for up to six med-surg patients
• Stepdown ratios are 1:3–4
• Med-surg/tele ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights; nights may rarely be 1:7 depending on staffing

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital
• First-time travelers are not accepted, unless the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification as applicable per unit description
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable per unit description
• EPIC charting experience

Scheduling Expectations

• 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Up to 2 weeks of requested time off is permitted if submitted with the application

Additional Notes

• Pending license is accepted; if the license is not in hand at submission, the start date will be scheduled 6 weeks out
• Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Facility is nicotine-free
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray with the facility logo on the back
• Parking is available for a monthly permit or daily rate
• Housing/lodging is not mentioned
