Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Los Alamitos, California
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Telemetry RN
• Unit ratios: 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Float required
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Local candidates accepted
• Scrubs not provided; any color allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Telemetry (3 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Additional Notes

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Criminal background check required within 1 year of start and must be updated annually
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start and must be updated annually
• N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start and must be renewed annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
• Hepatitis B series or declination required
• Flu vaccination required by 12/5, with declinations accepted
• 2 references required in the current specialty
• Employment application required
• Signed confidentiality agreement required within 72 hours of signing
• Signed unit-specific job description required before start
• Signed HIPAA acknowledgement required
• Medication/calculation exam required for RNs
• Unit-specific competency exam required
• Infection control/bloodborne pathogens exam required
• Arrhythmia recognition assessment required for Telemetry nurses
