Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Location: Mount Pleasant, Texas
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

• 16-bed emergency department with 1 trauma bay and 4 fast-track beds
• High volume of stroke and STEMI patients
• Cath lab operates 24/7
• Frequent MVC traumas
• Serves psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• 1 year of ED - Emergency Department experience
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Hiring Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• NURSYS verification for RNs
• Physical exam
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months
• 2 clinical references
• Complete application/resume
• Skills checklist
• Competency and medication/pharmacology testing as applicable

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
