Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (5 days, 8 hours each)
- Call: Approximately 14 call shifts per month, including weekends, shared among CV staff
- Floating: Required to float to Vascular and General units
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR nursing experience (highest requirement)
- Experience with both scrub and circulating roles in the OR
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Level 1 experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience within the last year
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Negative drug screen within 12 months prior to start
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if prior positive PPD
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (must be renewed annually)
- Preferred: COVID vaccine series documentation
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit test completed onsite during orientation)
- Fit test must be clean-shaven for this facility; no PAPR/CAPR provided or accepted
- Required to complete facility-specific orientation modules and sign confidentiality and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
- Background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- E-Verify compliance required
- Completion of post-start orientation checklists during first week on assignment
- Completion of Cath Lab or ICU/CCU AbioMed Impella online training if applicable (not required for CVOR)
- Photo for badge with plain white or off-white background (passport style)
