Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Position: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (5 days, 8 hours each)
• Call: Approximately 14 call shifts per month, including weekends, shared among CV staff
• Floating: Required to float to Vascular and General units

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of CVOR nursing experience (highest requirement)
• Experience with both scrub and circulating roles in the OR
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Level 1 experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Negative drug screen within 12 months prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if prior positive PPD
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (must be renewed annually)
• Preferred: COVID vaccine series documentation
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit test completed onsite during orientation)
• Fit test must be clean-shaven for this facility; no PAPR/CAPR provided or accepted
• Required to complete facility-specific orientation modules and sign confidentiality and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
• Background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• E-Verify compliance required
• Completion of post-start orientation checklists during first week on assignment
• Completion of Cath Lab or ICU/CCU AbioMed Impella online training if applicable (not required for CVOR)
• Photo for badge with plain white or off-white background (passport style)
