Job Overview

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Expected patient ratio: 1:3
• Floating: Position may float between units and may require working at a nearby facility
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Block schedules required
• On-call: Not required
• Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital, 25 staffed beds, teaching hospital
• Charting system: Epic
• Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within the last year

Experience & References

• Minimum 1 year of relevant specialty experience required
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
• Education verification required for all candidates
• WA State Patrol Search (WATCH) required within 90 days of start and updated every 2 years for applicable facilities
• Drug screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (10-panel for some candidates)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies

Additional Requirements

• Float Policy Acknowledgement: Candidate may be required to float to another nearby facility
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable, updated annually
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness testing may be required on a unit basis
• Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS system
• Passport-style badge photo may be required depending on facility policies

Housing

• Housing options available with furnished rooms; female-only shared housing with utilities included
• Housing costs approximately $1100-$1500/month
