Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Work in a specialty hospital focused on care coordination for neurological and cardiac patients.
- Facility is a comprehensive stroke center.
- Role involves inpatient/acute care and case management.
- Must have prior hospital experience.
- Travelers may be floated to other nearby campuses if census is low.
- Weekend coverage required: minimum 2 weekend days per month (typically 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday, not the same weekend).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in Washington.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in inpatient and acute care settings.
- Case management experience.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Licensed Social Worker Adult/Independent Clinical (LSWAIC)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) and Social Security Card required.
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Additional state-specific background checks and registries as applicable.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Work history verification may be required if reference requirements are not met.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work.
- Immunizations and screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates (updated annually).
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
Training and Competency
- Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via assigned LMS.
- Epic training modules required; transcripts must be submitted.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
- Floating policy acknowledgment required due to potential assignment at multiple campuses.
Additional Notes
- Travelers may be floated to other campuses within reasonable distance.
- Weekend coverage is mandatory but scheduled to avoid working both weekend days consecutively.
- This position is for travel/contract assignment with a 13-week duration.
