Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Covington, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Daily caseload: Approximately 15 cases
• Call required
• Scrubs provided
• Experience required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience required

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
• ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted

Equipment & Systems Preferred

• GE Innova imaging equipment preferred
• Monitoring/recording systems preferred: Maclab, Xper

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check within the past year including:

  • SSN trace
  • 7-year county residency check
  • Nationwide search
  • Sex offender search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• TB questionnaire required
• MMR and Varicella attestations required
• Pending drug screen attestation required
• Negative TB or chest X-ray per state requirements (copy not required by client)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination accepted
• Flu seasonal vaccination not required
• Drug testing not required (candidate attestation required)
• Other immunizations (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella) not required except for Mother/Baby units

Additional Notes

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams are required for agency compliance but not required by the client and do not affect assignment start
• Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background)
• References required for agency compliance but not required by client and do not affect assignment start

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Louisiana
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system

Summary

This Cath Lab Tech travel assignment requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, with certifications in ACLS, ARRT, and BLS. The role involves a day shift with call responsibilities and a daily caseload of about 15. Experience with EPIC and preferred familiarity with GE Innova equipment and Maclab/Xper systems is expected. First-time travelers are welcome. Compliance with background checks, immunizations, and documentation is mandatory.
