Operating Room Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Ann Arbor, Michigan
• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• Day shift options: 7:00–19:00 or 11:00–23:00
• Rotating day/evening schedule is also listed
• Weekend and weeknight call required
• No floating

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of Operating Room experience
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• Trauma experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic

Unit Details

• Level 1 trauma center
• Primarily adult patient population

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Flu vaccination required during flu season with no exemptions
• COVID vaccination not required
• 2 supervisory references required at submission
• Background check required
• Government-issued photo ID required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation required
• Confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment/misconduct, and Cornerstone module attestation required
• Traveler unit orientation paperwork required on first day
• ID proofing/account setup required before start

Additional Notes

• Call is scheduled in 8-hour blocks
• EKG/pass-fail testing is required for PACU, Tele, and ICU units, including CVICU, but this role is Operating Room
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP are listed as applicable only for certain units, not as universal requirements
