Job Description
- Position: Electrophysiology (EP) Tech
- Willing to train a strong Cath Lab Tech clinician to work in EP
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- ARRT (R) or RCES
- Skills Required: Per UD (User Defined), McKesson
- On-call Requirement: Yes, 3 nights per week (no weekends), 2 hours per night
- Weekend Requirement: No weekends required unless clinician opts to pick up Cath Lab call shift
- Floating: Yes, may float to Cath Lab within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from facility)
- Time Off Requests: Approved individually; only 1 time off request per 13-week assignment
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks; traveler can be called off for 1 ten-hour shift per 2 weeks

Required Certifications

On-boarding and Compliance Requirements
Background Checks
- Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Must include: SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Counties, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if applicable), and others as required
- Returning candidates with less than 30-day gap may not require new background check
- State-specific searches required for Washington and Oregon placements as applicable
Health Documents
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask test (annual, travel only)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (annual update required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B - vaccination series or signed declination (Alaska placements require both positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Flu Vaccine (seasonal, declination accepted)
- COVID-19 Vaccine or declination (required if onsite)
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Competency and Skills
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Skills Checklist updated annually (clinical specialties)
- Color Blind Testing if required by unit
- Competency Exams as required by specialty
References and Employment History
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years (6 months for CNAs)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Clarification required for any gaps or overlaps in employment
Scheduling and Work Policies
- Floating Policy: May be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Time Off: One approved time off request per 13-week assignment
- On-call: 3 nights per week, 2 hours per night (no weekends)
- No block scheduling accommodation

- Locals not accepted; candidate must live at least 50 miles from facility
