Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Mid shift, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday
- Call: 1 weekend of call per month (total 2 days)
- Average Daily Cases: 15-18
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed (subject to low census cancellation up to 40 hours per contract)
- Locals: Not accepted within 70-mile radius
- Pending License: Accepted
- Special Requirements: Circulating, Level 1, Scrub roles required

- TAVR
- Right and left heart catheterization
- Diagnostics
- Impella insertion
- ECMO
- IABP
- TEE
- Cardioversion
- EP Ablations
- Pacemakers
- ICD implants
- Watchman
- Mitraclips
- Coronary angiography
- ECHO
- Lead extractions and reimplantation
Required Qualifications
- Discipline: Registered Nurse
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- Certifications Preferred:
- NIH Stroke Certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- License: Valid Registered Nurse license for Missouri or Compact License accepted
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- Weekend Requirement: Weekend call required
Additional Information
- Charting System: EPIC
- Scrubs: Provided
- Parking: Free onsite parking
- Fit Testing: Required onsite during first week of orientation; must be clean-shaven for fit test
- Background Checks: Criminal background check within 12 months required
- Health Requirements:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Drug screening within 12 months
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccination preferred
- Orientation: Completion of required modules and orientation checklists mandatory
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, confirming good physical health

- First-time travelers accepted
- All required documents and clearances must be submitted with application
- Facility reserves the right to cancel or reduce hours based on census
- Candidates must complete specific online training for Impella device annually
