Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in a Level 1 trauma center with high acuity patients.
  • Cross-campus coverage required, including multiple hospital locations with some shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM.
  • Schedule: Every Other Week / Every Other Holiday (EOW/EOH).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience, including experience within the last year
  • Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience
  • Experience in Level I emergency care within the last 6 months
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification

Additional Requirements

  • Valid state-issued ID required.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and state-specific clearances.
  • Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions.
  • Immunizations or valid declinations required for:
    • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
    • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start.
  • References: 2 references within 3 years of start.
  • Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
  • Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable.
