Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: North Richland Hills, Texas

Contract Length: 4 weeks

Job Description

• Work 4 ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday, starting at 6:30 AM to prepare the camera and doses.
• Use Siemens equipment.
• Perform 6-7 nuclear studies per day regularly.
• Independently run stress tests.
• Collaborate with a team including medical assistants, sonographers, and cardiologists.

Required Certifications

• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certification by NMTCB or as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
• Certification by ARRT.
• Must be able to independently run stress tests.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series and/or positive titer or signed declination form.
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start.
• Fit test for mask (completed onsite during orientation or prior with approved mask).
• Required background checks including 7-year criminal history and federal exclusions.

Documentation Required Before Start

• Valid government-issued photo ID or passport.
• I9 or attestation.
• E-Verify or attestation.
• Signed job description.
• Photo for badge (passport style).
• Completion of facility-specific forms including vaccine exemptions if applicable.
• Two professional references within the last 3 years.

Additional Notes

• Must be comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to handle multiple nuclear studies daily.
• Stress test competency is essential.
