Job Description
Seeking a Stroke Coordinator to assist with survey readiness.
Shift Details:
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (0800-1630)
- Monday through Friday
- No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Stroke Coordinator, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC preferred
- Other certifications may be required based on position specifics (verify as needed)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
- Annual updates for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screening
- Education verification (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- Sex offender search within 90 days of start
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per California law)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
- Respiratory safety clearance prior to start, renewed annually
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement)
- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
