Job Description

• On Call Availability: Yes (Low census on call)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Meal Break Length: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• National Tech Certification Verification
• State License Primary Source Verification
• NURSYS Verification

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• Federal and national criminal, sex offender, and OIG/SAM checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest degree (BSN minimum)
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Annual skills checklist and competency exam required

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific training modules and policy acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of sexual harassment training annually
• Completion of confidentiality, information security, and cannabis acknowledgement forms

• Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry fingerprinting and eligibility verification required prior to start (must be completed in Illinois)
