Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work primarily with stroke patients; unit handled over 200 stroke cases last year.
  • Experience with strokes and neuro intervention is required.
  • Equipment used includes Philips systems.
  • Minimal weekend call and minimal overall call requirements.
  • Scheduling is flexible based on unit needs; no block schedules available.
  • Charting system: Epic.
  • Level I experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification

Additional Requirements

  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other standard verifications.
  • Education verification required.
  • Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness.
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start.
  • Various immunizations or declinations required (e.g., COVID-19, Flu, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP).
  • Competency exams including medication and EKG/dysrhythmia testing as applicable.
  • References: 2 within the last 3 years.
  • Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
  • Compliance with state-specific requirements such as Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (if applicable).

Notes

  • Telemetry (Tele) exams and medication exams required for RNs working in telemetry units.
  • Minimal weekend and on-call duties.
  • No prior travel contract experience required.
