Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and fine needle aspirations using digital and 3D mammography technology. The position involves working Monday through Friday with no required evenings or weekends.
Shift Options:
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- Experience with screening, diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and fine needle aspirations
- Proficiency with Hologic 3D mammography machines required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT Mammography (ARRT-M) certification required
- Must have proof of Nebraska state licensing application before submission (note: Nebraska licensing process takes 6-8 weeks)
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from the work site (no local candidates accepted)
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check including all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
- Ongoing federal and state background screenings (SAM, OIG, etc.)
- Education verification and primary source license verification required
- Drug screening within 60 days of start and updated annually
- Various health documents required including physical exam, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella), TB testing, and annual flu vaccination documentation or declination
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
- References: 2 work references from the past 2 years required (or 1 if not a current traveler)
Important Notes
- Start dates will be booked 8 weeks out due to Nebraska state licensing processing times
- Proof of Nebraska state licensing application must be submitted before consideration
- No evenings or weekend shifts required
- This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration
This opportunity is ideal for Mammography Technologists with at least 1 year of experience who are comfortable working with advanced 3D mammography equipment and are willing to travel to Nebraska for a mid-length contract.
