Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Location

• State: Georgia
• City: College Park
• Travel radius: Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic
• Average travel: Approximately 30-40 miles per day, 250 miles weekly

Employment Type

• Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
• Patient visits: Home visits only, 5-10 patients per day (about 6-8 points daily workload)
• Types of cases: Start of Care and Follow Ups
• On-call: No on-call required for this position

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Experience working with Adult patients
• BLS certification

Productivity Expectations

• Weekly productivity units: 32 units expected
• Documentation and travel time are part of productivity points system

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Background checks covering last 7 years of residence/work/school, including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and state-specific searches
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test required
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunization or titer proof for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• COVID-19 vaccination series or declination required
• Flu vaccination or facility-specific declination documentation required
• Education verification for applicable degree
• Work history verification for at least two most recent employers or last 7 years
• Two professional references required
• Completion of various compliance documents and training prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • Confidentiality and privacy policies
  • HIPAA and healthcare compliance laws
  • Home Health scenarios and core policy acknowledgements
  • Code of conduct and employee responsibility agreements
  • COVID-19 policy and attestation
  • State-specific forms and attestations as applicable

Notes

• No guaranteed hours; if patient census is low, contractor may be floated to a nearby clinic to pick up hours
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Weekend requirements vary; discuss during interview
• This is a contract assignment with potential for hire at the end of the contract

This position is ideal for experienced PTAs with recent home health experience who are comfortable with travel and working independently in patients' homes.
