Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week

  • 3 PM to 11:30 PM (2 shifts)
  • 11 AM to 11:30 PM (2 shifts)
• Call: 2 times per schedule
• Trauma Level: Level 2 Trauma Center
• Patient Mix: All OR specialties except Open Heart
• Required Skills:

  • Must be able to circulate and scrub
  • Robotic and ENT experience required
  • Experience in ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, neuro surgeries required
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrubs Provided
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in the following surgical specialties:

  • ENT Surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
• Ability to scrub in the Operating Room
• Robotic Operating Room experience
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Important Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Candidate must be able to circulate and scrub in the OR.
• Must have experience with robotic and ENT surgeries, as well as ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro specialties.
• Call responsibilities are part of the schedule.
• Scrubs are provided by the employer.
• All required documentation and clearances must be completed and submitted timely to clear for assignment.
• Background checks and health screenings must be current and compliant with facility policies.
• Candidates must complete required competency exams within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Candidates with name changes must provide proof and ensure all documentation matches legal name.
