Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehab (Nightshift)

Location: Hannibal, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nightshift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP (orientations available soon)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit during night shifts.
• May float to other areas of competency as needed.
• Must comply with a 60-mile radius rule (no local candidates).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• Minimum of 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (AHA) required.
• ACLS not required for inpatient rehab.
• Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification are not required for this role.
• Pharmacology and unit competency exams must be current (within 12 months).
• Annual core testing required.

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, including:

  • 7-year work/lived/school history
  • Social Security trace
  • County and nationwide searches
  • National sex offender registry check
  • Education verification
• EPLS/SAM and OIG checks within 90 days of start.
• State-specific searches as required by Missouri regulations.
• Primary source verification of RN license.
• NURSYS verification required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual TB questionnaire required).
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years or approved declination/exemption.
• MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer), Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination), Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer) or approved declinations.
• 7-panel drug screen within 45 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31).

Additional Requirements

• Employment application and skills checklist required.
• References from at least two recent employers.
• Facility-specific orientation and safety modules to be completed.
• Confidentiality statement must be signed prior to start.
• COVID-19 vaccination exemptions (medical or religious) considered with weekly testing and mask requirements if granted.
