Unit & Work Environment

  • Neuro/Stroke PCU floor
  • Respiratory, cardiac, mixed medical patients
  • Titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring
  • Patient ratio: 1:4
  • 36 beds with an average daily census of 30
  • Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
  • No block scheduling
  • Scrub color: Navy Blue
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Holiday work: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
  • Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
  • Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Experience working with adolescent and geriatric patient populations
  • Experience titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring

Additional Information

  • Floating within facility as needed
  • No call requirements
  • Must comply fully to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
  • Locals accepted at same rate
  • Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours)
