Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Dubois, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends as needed
• Call: 1-2 weekdays per week and every 4th weekend; call response time is 30 minutes with a 3-person call team
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are welcome

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
• Experience with Fluoroscopy required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R)
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 12 months of start (must be completed in Pennsylvania)
• Education verification required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella) or facility-specific declination forms
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April); mask required if declining
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at some locations)
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Certifications (if applicable)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification – required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units
• NIH Stroke Certification – required for all RNs, renewed annually

Notes

• Candidate must complete facility orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Photo (passport style, no filters) required for badge
• Various facility-specific quizzes and checklists must be completed before start

This position is ideal for Cath Lab Techs with at least 1 year of experience, who are comfortable with fluoroscopy and able to meet the certification and compliance requirements listed above. Rotating weekend shifts and on-call duties are part of the schedule.
