Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Endocrinology

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide patient guidance through the healthcare system from screening through diagnosis and follow-up.
  • Assist with access issues, develop relationships with service providers, and track interventions and outcomes.
  • Promote a positive work environment emphasizing respect for patients, families, providers, caregivers, and other departments.
  • Serve as a clinical expert in patient care within the specialty.
  • Work setting: Outpatient clinic.
  • Charting system: Epic.
  • Accepts candidates without prior travel experience (first timers welcome).

Required Qualifications

Licensure

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of endocrinology experience, with recent experience within the last year.

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

  • Valid state ID required.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal background check and other verifications required.
  • Education verification of highest completed education required.
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness.
  • Immunizations or valid declinations required for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • TB testing and questionnaire
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
    • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination
    • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (most recent vaccine required)
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start.
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams required.
  • References: 2 within three years of start.
  • Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
  • Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually.

Work Environment

  • Outpatient clinic setting.
  • Emphasis on teamwork and respectful communication.
  • Use of Epic electronic health record system.

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in reproductive endocrinology and IVF, looking for a travel contract opportunity in an outpatient setting. Prior travel experience is not required.
