Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift Options:
- Night Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 7:15)
- Day Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 - 19:00)
- Total Hours per Week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Certifications (Required for Labor and Delivery RNs)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check (updated if no assignment within last 90 days)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM clearance
- HHS/OIG clearance
- Signed System Access and Confidentiality Agreement prior to start
- Annual respirator fit testing (fit mask)
- Medication and competency exams as required by specialty
Immunization and Exemption Policies
- Influenza vaccination is not required for employment; however, vaccine or declination form should be obtained for records
- Religious and medical exemption forms available for influenza and COVID vaccinations, subject to facility review
- Documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella is not required by the facility and does not impact start date
Candidate Requirements
- No local candidates accepted (travel experience required)
- Must have prior travel experience
- Copy of valid driver’s license or state ID required
