Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT - Nights)
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs; may float between like units
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Per manager's discretion
- Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; all other contracted shifts guaranteed
- Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning

Work Environment & Requirements
- Must be comfortable working with both adults and children in ICU
- Nights, weekends, and holidays required
- Floating as needed
- Makeup shifts required for any callouts on scheduled shifts
- Only 4 days allowed off for RTO and no holidays off
Certifications & Competencies Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or Military only; documentation must reflect legal name
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or Military only; documentation must reflect legal name
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA or Military only; required for ED, OR, Peds ED, PICU, and certain ICU/PACU units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for L&D, FCCU, NICU units
- NIH Stroke Certification: Must be updated annually; required for ED, Psych ED, ICUs, Step Down, Med Surg, L&D, Express Care
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing: Required for multiple units including all ICUs, Cath Lab, Med Surg, Peds, Radiology, Step Down, Tele
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Candidates have 3 attempts to pass with 80% or higher; remediation required after failed attempts
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required and must be renewed annually; advanced and basic levels depending on unit assignment
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check required within 6 months of start (includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, international search if applicable)
- Education verification or diploma/transcript required
- Physical exam within 1 year, signed by physician, NP, or PA-C; must be updated annually
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days (specific substances listed)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions require facility approval and must be resubmitted annually
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but accepted if available
