Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract
Location: Milford, Connecticut
Contract Length: 26 weeks (can do 13 weeks if preferred)

Job Details
- Float between Main Campus and Milford Campus
- Shifts:
- Weekdays: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Weekends: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Rotating days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Call shifts:
- Weekday call: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- No call at Milford Campus; call only at Bridgeport Campus
- Siemens machine knowledge required
- CT state license NOT required
- Certification required
Required Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

- NIH Stroke Certification (for RNs except certain specialties)
- Tech Cert Verification (for surgical techs)
- State License Verification (CT license not required for MRI Techs)
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must score 85%)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates on/after 8/2/2024, must score 80%)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, ICU units)
Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification including foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
- Employment application with 7-year work history, no gaps greater than 90 days
- Work history verification for last 7 years (attestations not accepted)
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for certain tech roles
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M N95 preferred)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
- TB questionnaire updated annually
- Immunizations or titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination within 1 year)
- Varicella
- Tdap vaccination highly preferred for pediatric specialties, labor/delivery, postpartum (declination acceptable)
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination preferred
Facility-Specific Training & Documents (Required for RNs and applicable staff)
- Stroke Education Module and Attestation (not required for pediatric specialties and NICU)
- CLABSI Prevention Training
- Preventing Pressure Injury Training
- Language Services Training
- CAUTI Education Training (except PICU, NICU, Psychiatry/Behavioral Health)
- Patient Transportation with Oxygen Education
- Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment Training
- Pyxis ES MedStation Modules (not required for some hospitals)
- Baxter Pump Interoperability Training
- Patient Bedside Rounding Module (except OR, Behavioral Health, Ambulatory, ER/ED)
- Ventricular Assist Device Awareness (not required for some hospitals)
- AME Blood Administration Module (except Case Managers, Behavioral Health/Psych, Home Health)
- New Employee Orientation Module
- 21st Century Cures Act Module (required for many clinical roles, not required for some techs and home health)
- ED Handbook (for ED/ER RNs only)
- eCart Training Module (not required for pediatric, periop/OR, outpatient, case managers, home health)
- Chaperone Policy Training (required for RNs and Allied staff)
- EMU Caring Course (required for EEG Techs)
- Vaccination Booster Medical Exemption form if applicable
