Job Details

Float between Main Campus and Milford Campus
Shifts:
- Weekdays: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Weekends: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Rotating days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Call shifts:
- Weekday call: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM
No call at Milford Campus; call only at Bridgeport Campus
Siemens machine knowledge required
CT state license NOT required

Required Experience

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must score 85%)
Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates on/after 8/2/2024, must score 80%)
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, ICU units)

Background Checks & Verifications

7-year criminal background check required within 12 months of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
Education verification including foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
Employment application with 7-year work history, no gaps greater than 90 days
Work history verification for last 7 years (attestations not accepted)
Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for certain tech roles

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M N95 preferred)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
TB questionnaire updated annually
Immunizations or titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination within 1 year)
- Varicella
Tdap vaccination highly preferred for pediatric specialties, labor/delivery, postpartum (declination acceptable)
10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
COVID vaccination preferred
