Job Opportunity: Dietitian (Travel/Contract)

Work Schedule

• Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible options available, e.g., 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Approximately 1 weekend every 8 weeks; if covering a weekend, two days off will be provided during the week before or after

Experience & Licensure Requirements

• Open to new Registered Dietitian (RD) graduates with heavy clinical internship experience
• Must hold RD (Registered Dietitian) credential
• South Carolina dietetics license required

Dress Code

• Business casual OR Caribbean blue top with black bottoms

Required Certifications & Compliance

• Registered Dietitian (RD) license for South Carolina
• Background checks including 7-year history, state and county searches, and federal checks as applicable
• Drug screening within 1 year and updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (not required for remote workers)
• Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)

Orientation & Training

• Completion of online orientation modules within 72 hours of assignment
• Pre-assignment testing required within 72 hours of receiving testing information (2 attempts allowed)
• Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background)

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license required ASAP for computer access and must be carried on duty
• Compliance with facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor acknowledgment
• Annual competency exams and training modules (Core Parts I, II, III) covering universal precautions, cultural diversity, pain management, OSHA, and patient safety goals
