Job Opportunity: Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Location: Modesto, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Role: Dialysis RN - Day Shift
• Schedule: Open Saturdays, closed Sundays
• On-call: One on-call shift every 1-2 weeks

Required Licenses & Certifications

• California RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only

Additional certifications may be required depending on position specifics (verify with recruiter):

• PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and others as applicable

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty (Dialysis)

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable
• FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List as applicable
• Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
• Education verification (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear candidate for work)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
• TB screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days or 2 PPDs as specified, renewed annually
• Immunizations or titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
• Color Blind Exam (in-person) if applicable
• Respiratory Safety Clearance (not required for some roles)

Documentation & Compliance

• Must provide full 7 years of work history with no gaps in employment over 30 days without explanation
• Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
• References: 2 professional references for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care (Aya requirement only)
• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and others prior to start
• TB questionnaire required within 90 days of start and renewed annually
• Pending background check attestation may be required if background is delayed (conditional clearances handled case-by-case)
