Certifications Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
Chemotherapy Certification: Verify if required per clinical track
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM): If applicable, AWHONN or NCC-EFM certification
IV Certification: As applicable (LVN/LPN/Other)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB): If required
NIH Stroke Certification: Required every 2 years if applicable
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): If required
State License: Must have valid professional license
NURSYS Verification: Required for RNs
Tech Cert Verification: For allied professionals as applicable

Background and Compliance Requirements

Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
E-Verify attestation required
Education verification required for all candidates
State-specific searches (e.g., Washington WSP/WATCH) as applicable
Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year employment in last 3 years (6 months for CNAs)
Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Health and Safety Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent), updated annually (travel only)
Immunizations/vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination (required if onsite)
Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (travel only)
