Job Opportunity: Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Auburn, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating: Required as per facility needs

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience (within the past year)

Required Licenses and Certifications

• License: New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Additional Requirements

• Recent experience required within the past year
• Pass/fail telemetry assessment on first day of orientation (minimum 80% on cardiac rhythm interpretation)
• Background checks including SSN trace, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, signed by a licensed provider
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • TB test or chest x-ray
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity
  • Hepatitis B series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years or declination
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Drug screening (9 panel) within 30 days of start
• Professional references and skills checklist required
• Facility-specific documents and acknowledgements (e.g., Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement) must be reviewed and signed

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Med Surg/Telemetry RN position in Auburn, NY.
