Respiratory Therapist Job Summary

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Ventilator experience
Bipap experience
ICU experience
ER experience
ABG (arterial blood gas) training

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS

Job Responsibilities

Deliver respiratory therapy and patient care according to physician orders, hospital policies, and departmental standards
Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures
Evaluate patient response to respiratory therapy and take corrective action as needed
Educate patients and staff on respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions
Perform routine equipment maintenance and service checks
Maintain records, reports, and other documentation related to the role
