Job Description
The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the nursing process, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards. Responsibilities include assessing physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients, planning and implementing nursing care, making appropriate interventions, evaluating patient responses, and ensuring quality patient care and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel or per diem nursing experience
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Orientation:
- 8-hour shifts include 8 hours of new business orientation (NBO)
- 12-hour shifts include 12 hours of NBO
- Dress Code: Matching scrubs (staff wears grey)
- Facility uses Cerner EMR system
- OT/Holiday markups apply for extra hours worked
