Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU 4E, 4th Floor East Wing

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
Hours per Day: 12
Hours per Week: 48


Unit Overview

  • Level of Care: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Number of Beds: 55
  • Patient Population: Adults primarily; pediatric patients 15 years and older are rare
  • RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 (both day and night shifts)
  • Nursing Assistant Support: Yes
  • Charge Nurse: Yes
  • Additional Unit Support: Educator, Care Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy
  • Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke (CVA, TIA), shortness of breath, COVID-19, subdural hematoma, weakness
  • Common Drips/Medications: PCA pumps for pain management, cardizem, insulin
  • Specialty Equipment: Mechanical lifts available in every other room

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS

  • License: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
