Shift

• 12-hour day shifts

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No self-scheduling
• Block scheduling may be available if it meets unit needs
• Fri/Sat/Sun option available

Required Qualifications

• Active RN experience in a busy hospital environment
• 2 years of recent RN experience
• Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients
• Experience managing TR band compression devices
• Experience managing chest pain
• Experience with post-cardiac surgical patients
• ACLS
• BLS

Unit Details

• 29 beds
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 on days through 2300; 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
• Cardiac medical and surgical patient population, including post-cath lab and post-cardiac surgery cases
• Central telemetry monitors all non-critical care patients
• Charge RN takes a modified assignment
• Nurse aides are available
• Respiratory therapy is available 24/7

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips as needed
• Perform incentive spirometry
• Float as needed based on unit census

Additional Notes

• No call or standby unless it is an extra shift
• No scrubs provided
• Clock in and out at the facility
• If previously worked for this employer, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
