Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart catheterizations
• Possibly scrub devices and assist in electrophysiology (EP) cases
• Utilize equipment and systems including XIM, EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens, and Philips fluoroscopy systems
• Work in an 8-fluoro room unit plus 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
• No floating to other units/departments

Shift:

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
• Varying shift times: 05:30-16:00, 06:30-17:00, 07:30-18:00
• On-call responsibilities: 1 call per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time
• May be required to fill any vacant call shifts not picked up
• Holiday call coverage including Thanksgiving and Christmas may be required

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist (minimum 3 years preferred)
• BLS certification (must be AHA)
• ACLS certification (must be AHA)
• RCIS or RCES certification preferred

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Orientation focused on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing and circulating
• Local placements within an 80-mile radius
