Yuma Regional Medical Center
3 nurses recommend working with Yuma Regional Medical Center
Pros
- PCAs were unbelievably on the ball literally every day (so much so that I was asking around why that was the case) - staff friendly to travelers - amazing weather in winter - generally low acuity patients - nice town filled with pleasant people
Cons
- a scavenger hunt for meds and supplies every day (there are patient specific cabinets outside every room but they don't stock them with all the meds - some are in an Omni, others are in a drawer, still others are not on the unit or were tubed to a station with no med basket - many of the doctors were remarkably hostile to nurses. It was widely known who was abusive and it was tolerated. - no mandatory Doc/Nurse rounds - rarely had MD presence at bedside - RNs regularly pressured to place verbal orders that were way outside the normal scope

- Short Term Acute Care
- 406 beds
